Collaborative projects are often stemmed from our desire to share dance with as many audiences as possible. We were thrilled to create for The National Romanian Library a series of events that offered the public a clearer look at the new interferences between choreography, literature and visual arts.
The experience was complex:
• 14 independent artists from the field of visual arts & choreography presented their worlds;
• more than 400 people active in designing and implementing the activities;
• 6 site specific choreographies: Heil Love by Galea Bobeicu, TWO, One.1 by Momo Sanno Peter, InHideOut, by Catrinel Catană, Virgo, by Beatrice Tudor, Mariana Gavriciuc, Petra-Antonia Binder, Cristina Tudor, Life în progress Eli 12, by Arcadie Rusu;
• 3 days of dance, painting and video art laboratory for kids to understand the different approaches of dance in relation to other arts;
• a intense contemporary dance workshop for adults, reviewing a system of techniques characteristic to contemporary choreography used for discovering the creative potential of the body;
• 2 conferences on Contemporary Romania, practice, works and types of aesthetics in dance 2005 – 2015.
