Starting with 28th November, Choreography Department Association has participated at Jerusalem International Dance Week, the fifth edition, which included Dance Festival for Children and Youth and International Choreography Competition.
For one week, we tasted the Israeli vibe by taking part at various Israeli contemporary dance performances for young audiences in unconventional spaces from Jerusalem like schools or hospitals, but also in theaters and dance centers. It was very interesting to be a witness at the youngsters’s reactions and to see how they were relating with contemporary dance.
Also, we made several visits in order to know and understand how it works the educational system (from primary school to university) with a vocational profile in Israel and some dance studios.
At the end of the week, we attended at International Choreography Competition, a great source of inspiration, collecting good practices for organizing an international choreography competition in Romania.
